Textile Innovation

This term we have been introduced to the Territories of Practice (ToPs) unit of work. In which we are given the opportunity to explore our practice through a particular 'Territory' which will deepen our understanding of the historical, theoretical and cultural context within which we are working.

As a BA Textile Design student I chose to study 'Textile Innovation: Materials in Design', a series of lectures led by Ros Hibbert, as I thought that it would be important for me take the opportunity to learn as much as possible about the global chain of textile production, materials and their relation to design.
